StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty - a computer game in the genre of real-time strategy. Unlike the previous game in the series, StarCraft II is made with three-dimensional graphics. At BlizzCon 2008, it was announced that StarCraft II would be a trilogy. The first part was called StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty, and the two expansions were called Heart of the Swarm and Legacy of the Void. StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty was released on July 27, 2010.

At BlizzCon 2017, Blizzard announced that the StarCraft 2 Trilogy will be free, which means the Liberty Campaign, multiplayer, and more are available to Battle.net users.

Much like StarCraft, the game focuses on resource extraction and combat. By extracting resources, he receives funds for the construction of buildings, which can be carried out by combat units and improve them. The main purpose of combat units is resource extraction and attack. The player's goal is to destroy the entire building (but not necessarily all units).

The developers promise to adhere to the principles of the first part and create a game with a competent balance, where the ammunition of any unit will have its strengths and weaknesses. Like the mining of the first part, the game is based on the extraction of minerals and gas from the Vespenes after the player gets the opportunity to build buildings. Different buildings are designed for different purposes, but primarily for building and improving your armies. StarCraft II is a highly dynamic game in which you will plan and analyze each one over a long period of time, and plan and analyze each one over a long time.

Destruction of the target remains the main task of the game, to achieve which the player can use both ground and air forces. There are plenty of them in StarCraft II, and each type is unique in its own way. Many new units have been added to the game, not picking up nits has undergone significant changes. The developers are aiming for a gameplay different from Warcraft III.
General mechanical changes:

A new type of deposits has been added - gold minerals, of which workers bring not 5 minerals at a time, but 7.
The number of Vespene geysers in all locations has also doubled, but workers are slower to extract gas from the geyser than in the first part.
The worker can define the job queue, now including build.
You can select several buildings and more units, as well as more units at the same time, as well as one Shinido at a time. You can select a maximum of 255 objects (starting with updates 1.5.0 you can select a maximum of 500 objects)
Ten levels of AI difficulty.
The game uses a library of "realistic physics" Havok.
Dynamic shadows.
